Add color to your Thanksgiving table with this glazed carrots recipe. Simple yet delicious, it’s an excellent side dish for any main course. Perfectly tender, these vibrant orange jewels are transformed with a sweet and buttery glaze that enhances their natural sweetness.

INGREDIENTS:

Serves 5+

10 carrots
2 Tablespoons of butter
Salt
Ground black pepper
Olive oil
Grated garlic
Honey
Red chilly flakes
Minced parsley

SUPPLIES:

2-3 lb of lump charcoal
High-Temperature Gloves

INSTRUCTIONS:

 Step 1:

Fire up the H1 in Classic Grill Mode at 300°F  according to the manual instructions or the Masterclass video. 

Step 2:

Wash and peel the carrots. Set them in a cast iron skillet with olive oil, salt and pepper.

Step 3:

Place the skillet in the H1 in the bottom rack position for about 30 minutes.

Step 4:

After 30 minutes in the H1, add the butter, honey, and red chilly flakes. Leave it for 10 more minutes or until they are tender and glazy.

Step 5:

Remove from the H1, serve them, and add some minced parsley.

  

 Cook's Notes:

The advantage of this recipe is that carrots are very versatile. You can add other spices, like thyme, and rosemary. Another alternative is to try a dip for this dish. You can make yogurt, lemon zest, and Zumac dip, set them on the plate, and over this place the carrots.
